Looking up at the Sigiriya rock, far from home, there was a moment of reflection. No house, no car, no work, no certainties: just the calm, the freedom and the scents and flavours of the country around us. An adventure, an unforgettable experience, and the start of a new way of life.
A chance meeting with two Sri Lankans grew into a friendship of many years, and into a deep passion for tea. That was the first step towards Soolong.
Soolong means more than 'goodbye'. Oolong is also a wonderful tea that many people have yet to discover. For us, the name stands for discovering something new.
Soolong is about a conscious way of living, for yourself and your surroundings. It is about discovering new experiences, connecting scents and flavours and, above all, enjoying.
T-Vino brings our two loves together: good food and fine tea. We take real wine, gently remove the alcohol and infuse it with tea, so that everyone at the table can enjoy a glass with depth, structure and a long finish.
Looking back on that journey, we wanted to give something back to the world by inspiring people: to open eyes to beautiful places, to try new flavours and to enjoy life. Part of our profit goes to Stichting Aid1to1, which supports small-scale projects in the countries where our products come from.
