Freed From brings Soolong T-Vino to the UK. Globally sourced, independently evaluated and carefully curated: this is how they decide what makes the cut.
9,000 drinks, 57 countries
What began as a passion project of founder Charles Davies became, in Freed From's own words, “a full-blown treasure hunt for flavour”. Over the past three years, they have considered more than 9,000 non-alcoholic drinks from over 2,300 producers in 57 countries. They buy what they consider and never ask producers for free samples, so their judgement stays independent: for much of the journey, producers had no idea they were being assessed.
No labels. No backstories. No hints.
First Tasters around the world send only around one in ten drinks on to London. There, The Independent Panel – 25 external sommeliers, mixologists and flavour experts, two of them Master Sommeliers – tastes, grades and scores every drink. The wines are tasted blind. Made The Grade® goes only to drinks judged exceptional on flavour, on craftsmanship without unnecessary chemicals and on a genuine sense of identity: fewer than 4% of everything considered. Only those drinks are considered for The Freed From® Collection.
